Syringe found at school
Saturday 19th July 2008, 9:57AM BST.
PARENTS have voiced their concerns after a used syringe was found outside the entrance to Springfield Primary School on Thursday morning.
The syringe was found with a Fit Pack, which is the small disposable plastic box provided by the Alcohol and Drugs Service to addicts.
They use them for the storage of syringes and used needles as part of the needle exchange programme.
When the find was reported to the school it was dealt with immediately. However, parents are now concerned that this may happen again. Ashling Rowlands was one parent who contacted the JEP after making the discovery.
