Kirsten signs up again

FORMER Test batsman Peter Kirsten is to return to the Island and lead Jersey’s cricketers into the inter-insular on 9 August then the ICC European Division II championship in Guernsey the following week.

He will also return later in the year to lead Jersey in the World League Division V competition in Tanzania.

Kirsten, a former captain of South Africa, played an integral part in Jersey’s recent success in finishing runners-up in the World Cricket League Division V.

The Island team’s success secured them a place in the Division IV tournament in October.
