Island prepare for Euro test

00327081_cropped.jpgJERSEY’S under-15 cricketers continue their preparation towards hosting next week’s ICC European Division I tournament, with two matches against Cambridgeshire.The county side are on tour to the Island and they oppose Jersey in 45-overs-a-side matches today and tomorrow at the FB Fields, with both games starting at 11 am.

Jersey’s under-15s have been moved up a division on a trial basis this year to play in Division I and they play against Scotland and The Netherlands next Tuesday and Wednesday respectively while Guernsey, Scotland and Ireland compete in the other group.

U15 team manager Chris Minty said: ‘Cambridgeshire are a county side so we’re expecting two good games. The fixtures have been pencilled in for some time now and the boys are fit and raring to go ahead of next week.’
