The company estimates that there are around 3,000 small to medium enterprises in Jersey with between one and 50 staff, forming the majority of the 5,000 private sector firms registered in the Island.

The formation of a Small Business Centre, located on the first floor of their King Street Store, aims to meet their needs. The floor has been redesigned and refurbished, and each enterprise client will have a dedicated account manager who will assist him on an ongoing basis.

Graham Hughes, Sure’s commercial director in Jersey, said: ‘We set out a few months ago to identify how we could improve our service to small businesses in Jersey. It became clear that small businesses aren’t getting the personal, one-to-one account management which they want and need.
