Charity Cup semi-finalists

Jersey Scottish romped through with a 5-1 victory away to St Brelade, but another side fancied to do well this season, Trinity, only bettered last season’s relegated First Tower team 1-0.

The results set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash between the Coca-Cola Premier League clubs on 23 September at Les Quennevais.

Trinity certainly did not take long to get the upper hand last night, with Steve McCarter scoring the only goal of their home tie after just 20 seconds. It will be a result that Tower, facing Championship football this term, can take heart from.
