We must bring the abusers to justice
Wednesday 13th August 2008, 2:58PM BST.
From Stephen Fitz-Williams.
I FEEL ashamed that child abuse (any level is intolerable) has occurred in my home Island.
It is time that the sleeping people of Jersey wake up to the truth and that the Island’s politicians start taking responsibility for their shockingly poor leadership and failings to the taxpayers of Jersey, not only during the past year’s investigation, but for years of mismanagement, concealment and downright neglect bestowed upon the honest, hard-working local people of Jersey.
We cannot and should not accept that these appalling, barbaric and atrocious crimes have occurred in our beautiful Island until the perpetrators have been brought to justice, together with anyone who had knowledge of them occurring who just buried their heads in the sand.
