Thursday 14th August 2008, 9:20AM BST.
A THICK plume of black smoke poured over St Brelade’s Bay yesterday after a fire tore through a group of outbuildings.
Firefighters were called to number of sheds near to Mont es Croix by Beauport car park at about 6.50 pm after an Islander reported seeing smoke and hearing explosions.
The Western Station retained crew and two appliances from St Helier were sent out and found that three sheds had already almost been destroyed by the blaze.
