The Jersey Eye was a wonderful surprise

From Anne Holden.
FOLLOWING negative reporting in the Jersey Evening Post regarding the ‘Jersey Eye’, I was not expecting much when I joined two of my friends on a ride on Sunday.
However, it was well worth the money (although admittedly we used the concession offered in the JEP and got a £2 discount). We enjoyed spectacular views, photographed everything in sight and had such a good time that when the ride finally stopped and we got off, we went on it again. There was a steady line of people queuing to get on the ride and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I don’t know when it is leaving the Island, but we were glad that we made the effort to go before it was too late. Maybe the view from Fort Regent is as high, as it is often quoted as a comparison, but the ‘Jersey Eye’ is much more fun.
