Council’s new brand
Monday 22nd September 2008, 3:00PM BST.
THE Jersey Council for Safety and Health at Work has rebranded – and the new team is ready for action.
From now on the organisation will be known as the Jersey Safety Council. And a new website has been set up to provide information that all businesses should find useful.
The council was originally set up in 1973 to encourage Jersey businesses to become more safety conscious and adhere to established standards.
Its members are volunteers from a wide range of businesses and public services. The organisation is funded by the Social Security Department and one of its tasks is to arrange training opportunities and seminars on best practice, from lifting goods safely to dealing with repetitive strain injury.
