0586778_cropped.jpgJERSEY RFC are now third in London I, but they made hard work of winning their second game in the division, away from home, when they beat a dogged Sutton and Epsom XV 17-32.

‘The game was in the balance for at least 50 minutes,’ said coach Ben Harvey afterwards. ‘Dropped passes, three tap tackles when our players were ten yards away from the line – we must have wasted five clear chances to score and we had a poor first half.

‘So we had to remind them, at half-time, to concentrate on their own individual game – what they’re good at and what they do well in training. So I was pleased with the way we turned it around and pleased for the players.

I told them afterwards, that in London I one of the hardest things to do is to win games like this, away from home.
And we scored five well worked tries and, for the final 30 minutes, were disciplined and in control.’
