The company joins other businesses including Mange Tout, Jersey Kayak Adventures and Standard Chartered, Jersey, who have all been awarded a level two certificate for having an environmental policy in place.

Mourant is the first organisation in the offshore legal, fund and corporate administration sector to achieve this recognition. The company’s ‘green group’ installed more bicycle racks to encourage employees to cycle to work, set all the printers to print double-sided, and put recycling bins on every floor to gain its green credentials.

Eco-Active Business was launched in February to encourage local companies to become environmentally aware and improve their green initiatives. The scheme assesses businesses and rewards those that are making particular efforts to improve their environmental impact.
