Kennedy keen to test Jersey

Saturday 27th September 2008, 3:00PM BST.

0538764_cropped.jpgJERSEY manager Dave Kennedy is expecting a close game tonight at Springfield against England’s representatives in the UEFA Regions Cup which starts next month.

The Southern Amateur League won the National League Systems Cup last May and they are fine-tuning themselves ahead of their trip to Turin in Italy next month for the next stage of the competition.

Kennedy said: ‘I don’t think there will be much between the levels of the teams so I’m expecting a close game and I believe it’s a game we can win. ‘This is an excellent fixture for us because it is at our level and it’s a prestige game, too, because the SAL are a National representative side in a European competition.’

St Peter FC under-12s will be carriers of the FIFA fair play flag pre-match while both teams while have a mascot.
Kick off is at 6 pm.
