Your Island is so welcoming to holidaymakers
Saturday 27th September 2008, 9:59AM BST.
From Ann and Peter Johnson.
WE have just returned from our 22nd holiday to your lovely Island.
While there we enjoyed the spectacular air show and on the Saturday decided to visit the craft fair at St Aubin. After an unsuccessful attempt to locate a parking space, we made our way to the free car park, only to be waved down by a local lady in the car behind. She had apparently tried to gain our attention earlier to the space she was about to vacate but we did not notice her.
Not only had she taken the trouble to do that, but also she followed us to tell us of alternative parking arrangements. The trouble she went to was just an indication of how welcome we are always made to feel on our visits to the Island.
Another example of this was when a resident at the hotel at which we always stay, Millbrook House, had a fall and received wonderful attention from the hospital.
Needless to say, we will be back again next year.
