‘All I did during Tuesday’s training was to play them the video,’ coach Ben Harvey said yesterday. ‘I don’t think they were too impressed by what they saw. I was disappointed by how we played in certain areas and there’s still a lot of work to be done.

‘For the amount of possession we have we don’t hold onto the ball to run through enough phases; Saturday’s game was a wake-up call and we were probably lucky to get away with it, although we could have had the game tied up and won by half-time.

‘The result was probably a collective kick up the bum – we’ve got to do better – and the players know that. I don’t know much about Barnes but they will be strong and experienced and as with every game in this league, it will be a tough match to call.’
