If you have my daughter’s iPod – shame on you

Saturday 4th October 2008, 9:55AM BST.

From Lorraine Hill.
ON Friday 19 September my daughter either lost her iPod or had it stolen. She had saved up for a new large-capacity one as she needed to replace her old one.

She went without other things and saved up to buy it. She didn’t borrow the money or put it on a credit card, and she lives on her own and has to manage her money carefully. She had only had it for a month and it was her escape from living in a flat with poor sound-proofing and loud neighbours.

The police station and the places in which it could have been lost were phoned but, sadly, no-one had seen it or handed it in.

Although it wouldn’t have come with the box and instructions, someone out there is now the ‘proud’ owner of a new iPod (complete with films and a whole catalogue of music) that actually belongs to my daughter, who can’t afford to replace it. Shame on you.
