PATRICIA Groizard, of New South Wales, Austalia, is trying to trace members of her husband’s family in Jersey.

On his fathers side they are the Groizards. ‘ Two brothers passed away in New Zealand. Albert my husband’s father passed away in Australia and, we are looking for their sister, Emily Groizard,’ she says in an e-mail to the JEP. ‘We do not know her married name or if she had any children.’

Her husband’s mother was a member of the Gates family. Her name was Doris Violet Groizard (née Gates), her sisters were Ivy Morran and Nellie Bennett and her brothers were George, Bernie and Freddie.

‘We should be so pleased if anyone has any information about these families and their children. I remember a few of their names -
Bobbie, Nigel, Sylvie, Anne and Joan, but this is going back to 1960 when we had our honeymoon in Jersey with Elsie and George Gates,’ she adds.
