Website relaunch for JET

00593988_cropped.jpgA NEW website has been created for the customers of the Jersey Employment Trust.

The site, www.jet.co.je, can be easily adapted for people who find it difficult to read small print, or who find it easier to read if the text is in certain colour combinations, or who prefer to hear the text read aloud.

The size of the font used on the website can be made larger, the colours on the screen can be easily changed, and there is also a speech synthesiser which reads the text aloud. This is particularly helpful for people with visual impairment, dyslexia, or autistic spectrum condition.

By referring to the website, employers can find out about the potential pool of staff available through JET, which is a charitable trust set up to help disabled people to find work. In addition to recruitment, they provide work-place support and training, information and guidance.
