Saturday 18th October 2008, 9:58AM BST.
JERSEY rowers Ian Blandin and James Ramsden have achieved their main objective at the FISA World Coastal Club Championships in Italy.
The pair took advantage of 15 knott winds – they feel they have an advantage in the rough conditions – to qualify for today’s final in San Remo by finishing third in their heat, which was won by the reigning champions.
The final will contested by 24 pairs.
