Perhaps the JEP should feature humanism

From David Rotherham.
THE recent storm in a teacup over court prayers provided a reminder that a large fraction of Islanders are atheists.

The belief that the universe could spontaneously come into existence without a God to will it is every bit as much a matter of faith as the converse view that it must have needed God to do it.

The implications of a Godless universe are every bit as challenging and important for human ethics and philosophy as the teachings of religion, and as worthy of consideration.

The Faith series in the Saturday JEP looks at various denominations of Christianity, but, to date, it has neglected the atheist and humanist views of so many of your readers.

Perhaps, to serve your readers a little better, you may consider introducing the occasional piece on humanists and their views, every month or two, for a little balance.
