The 14-year-old, who has competed in both the British and National bike trial championships this year, has finished in top position overall in the British Championship after registering one win and three second places at the four Mini-me Class events held this year. Christopher’s father Richard said: ‘Christopher has had a good first year on the circuit culminating in him winning the British championship.

‘There are British and a National championship because of a split of officials and Christopher has competed at both, attending 14 in total throughout the year.

‘The British championship is recognised and seeded for the World championships and Christopher was invited to the Worlds held in France where he finished 17th in his class out of a total of 34 riders. It was a strong group too; there was a big entry from Spain together with other European countries and some riders from Japan too.’
