Easy purchase for Islands Insurance

ISLANDS Insurance has bought the insurance arm of Homebuyer Financial Services Ltd, for an undisclosed sum.

Easy Insurance was founded two years ago by two directors of Homebuyer, David Troy and Vince Roberts, and provides motor, home, travel and commercial insurance.

Managing director Mr Troy said: ‘We launched Easy Insurance to complement our existing business, but it took off quite quickly and had become a bit of a monster. We were struggling to find appropriate staff.’

Having made a few inquiries, he said, Islands Insurance were one of the firms showing an interest in taking on the business. They will keep the brand name, Easy Insurance, as well as the web site and telephone number.
