It should not take that long to fix the lift

I SYMPATHISE deeply with Mr Barbet’s plight and, of course, with all the other residents in Caesarea Court (JEP, 30 October).
However, I cannot visualise the lift in Cyril Le Marquand House being out of commission for three weeks for any reason. Shame on the Housing Committee.

I sympathise with residents of Ceasaria court being without a lift for three weeks. There seems to be an attitude of couldn’t care less about lifts in the Island. the Lift to the Aviator Resturaunt at the Airport has been out of order since June!
On enquiring am told “We are waiting for a spare part!” They could have made one by now.
I got caught out with it last September having booked a meal and am disabled and wheel chair bound. I Was assisted by friends to walk up the stairs having to rest sfter every 6 steps. It hearly killed me. Then I had the same problem after the meal coming down.
I have since wanted to eat there a couple of times since but after discovering the lift is STILL not working had to book elsewhere
