Searching for Richard Wilson

JEREMY Good is trying to make contact with a Richard Wilson, who was born in the early 1930s, possibly in England, and who was living in Jersey in 1959.

‘He worked as a carpenter/builder and may have worked with or for a Philip Le Dain,’ says Mr Good. ‘I understand that at the time there was a lot of building work being carried out at the Jersey airport, and it may have been here that he met a girl who was an airhostess.

‘He is described as being well built, 6ft tall, with fair colouring and with blue eyes. He had been in the army, possibly in the latter stages of the war and was thought to have served in Egypt where he contracted malaria. Also the name Bryan may have some significance.’

The only other piece of information Mr Good has is a record of a marriage taking place in St Luke’s Church, Jersey, on 31 July, 1965, between Richard Wilson and Rose Vivian Johnson. But he has no way of knowing whether this is the Richard Wilson he is seeking.

‘I would be very grateful for any further leads your readers may have that might help me to trace Richard Wilson,’ he adds.
