The stamps that cheer
Monday 10th November 2008, 2:58PM GMT.
From Tom Lawlor.
THERE appears to be an air of gloom in the Island following the election frenzy. We need cheering up so may I suggest a couple of items that may amuse?
Our famous Philatelic Bureau might care to issue a pair of stamps to honour the magnificent award won recently by the Radisson Hotel. What shape is a carbuncle stamp?
Next, a set of six stamps to commemorate all the roads and junctions dug up or closed during the Val Plaisant sewer project. This would be a special issue with a ‘presentation pick’ and ‘first day manhole cover’ available. Let’s lick those blues away.
