I DO agree with Alan Breckon on the absence of Jacqui Huet and Guy de Faye. It is not acceptable and indeed bad manners.
They knew about the nomination evening, so surely they could have got one of their committee members to represent them.
If I wanted to stand for election and didn’t turn up to be nominated, would it be acceptable? No, I don’t think so. They should have been declared absent.
