Help me find attack dog, pleads owner of victim
Saturday 15th November 2008, 9:56AM GMT.
AN elderly couple’s beloved Norwich terrier was left with huge teeth marks and gashes after it was attacked by another dog.
‘The dog just grabbed hold of Jasper, shook him like a dead rabbit and dashed him on the pavement,’ Ronald Bougourd explained, still visibly shaken by the incident. ‘The owner just ran away.’
Mr Bougourd and his wife, Maureen, are now desperately trying to find the owner of the animal because they are concerned that the dog may be a risk to the public. ‘That dog has now got a taste of blood,’ he said. ‘Imagine if a baby was dangling its arm out of a pram and knocked the dog’s head as it went past. The animal should be muzzled before it hurts another animal or a child.’
The attack, in Valley Road, happened just after 9 o’clock last Sunday morning when Mr Bougourd and Jasper encountered a woman with another dog on a lead. The incident has been reported to the police. Mr Bougourd has asked for the owner to contact either the JEP or the police to help resolve the matter.
