Going the distance

STAFF at the Health and Social Services Department with a total of 340 years of service between them have received long-service awards at a ceremony at the Grand Hotel.
Thirteen staff attended the ceremony to receive the awards earlier this month from Health Minister Senator Ben Shenton and chief officer Mike Pollard.
The staff had worked for the department for up to 40 years. Fourteen staff members who could not make the event will pick their awards up at a later date.
The staff who received their awards were Anna Bianconi-Moore, Jill Birbeck, Janice Bougeard, Jane Edgar, Susan Elson, Liz Graham, Jane Harwood, Marion Le Cornu, Suzanne Le Marquand, Sheila Morel, Kathryn Nott, Lesley Pitman and Pat Toudic. Those who will receive their award at a later date are Margaret Berridge, Julie Boydens, Alison Cabot, Lorraine Cabot, Kate Hocquard, Barbara Horner, June Inglis, John Le Marquand, Jilliam Le Vesconte, Deborah McGill, Mary Murphy, Karen O’Connor, Jenni Riggall and Barbara Turpin.
