Hotel wins top awards for service

A JERSEY hotel is celebrating double success after being recognised for outstanding service and employment practice.
Longueville Manor not only passed the reassessment for the Excellence Through People Certificate of Good Employment Practice last week, but also achieved the higher level qualification – the Certificate of Best Employment Practice.
And the hotel was runner-up for the Outstanding Service Award last Tuesday at the Condé Nast
Johansens Awards. Longueville Manor has held the People Certificate of Good Employment Practice since 2002 and now joins a select group of local establishments qualified to the higher level.
The Excellence Through People assessment scheme was set up by the British Hospitality Association in 1997. Its aim is to challenge employers to recruit, develop and retain a highly motivated and productive workforce. As part of the scheme’s reassessment policy, businesses are evaluated every three years.
