Bibbledribble, launched last month by Sarah Le Long (26), offers good-quality bibs with around 50 slogans and designs to choose from with the option of personalising them.

Miss Le Long, who left PricewaterhouseCoopers when she became pregnant with Ashton, now 12 months old, wanted to work from home but could not find a job that suited her. The idea of personalised baby bibs came to her when she was walking along the Railway Walk with her fiancé, Ian, six months ago.

‘I was thinking of something different that babies could use,’ she said. ‘Initially I thought of T-shirts, but you need a lot of capital to buy stock, so I thought I would start small, with bibs.
