A dead seagull and an act of kindness
Friday 21st November 2008, 2:56PM GMT.
From Sonia Ahier-Kerr.
ON Sunday morning I witnessed an act that touched my heart. A young seagull was lying dead in St Saviour’s Road.
Most drivers would have just gone over it, had not a woman — a nurse, I fancy, from her dress — stopped her car, got out and very gently picked up the little body, tenderly wrapped it up and took it home with her to bury in the garden.
What a very good thing to do on a dreary Sunday morning.
