How do you think these women must feel?

IT beggars belief that a non-native with few or no ties to the Island, who is about to be charged with several sexual assaults, is released after arrest.

He has now absconded (JEP, 14 November) and may never be charged and punished. What does that say to the unfortunate women who were subjected to these daylight assaults?

Someone who premeditates such assaults could be on the road to more serious crimes such as rape and murder. Where has common sense gone?

    Clive,

The common sense went out of the system in the UK and it seems also Jersey a long time ago. This sort of case is par for course today. The courts are guilty. The Judges are guilty. The whole system is just plain wrong. There is no justice for normal people anymore, and the law bends over backwards and makes an ass of itself because these perverts and criminals have “human rights” which to me seem to be greater than the rights of their victims. Of course this has come about and been accelerated by Marxism, which is what P(o)litical C(o)rrectness is all about. So I am sad to say, until PC rubbish is taken out of the equation entirely, you will not get fairness and just punishments carried out and the public will not feel safe.

It is as simple and as complicated as that.
