Quérée leads U21 side

Friday 21st November 2008, 3:00PM GMT.

james-queree_cropped.jpgFORMER AFC Bournemouth apprentice James Quérée skippers Jersey’s youngest ever squad to face Guernsey in the Ambassadeur Bowl under-21 Muratti tomorrow.

The 18-year-old takes the armband to lead a squad inclusive of six lads still in the under-18 age group as they bid to defeat Guernsey at U21 level for only the second time in six years.

But Quérée, who successfully skippered Jersey at under-15 Star Trophy level, has belief in his team-mates and they will give everything to win the game.

‘I’m hoping for another win as captain. We’ve a young squad and we know we are up against it, but it’s a good bunch of players and we’ll give it our best shot.’ Kick-off at Springfield is at 2 o’clock.
