Election result: St John
Wednesday 26th November 2008, 8:51PM GMT.
In St John, a former Deputy, Philip Rondel, made a convincing comeback to take the seat vacated by Home Affairs Minister Andrew Lewis.
Mr Rondel will return to the States after a three-year absence after he polled 678 votes to beat Deputy Pat Ryan, who had risked his career by standing in his home parish of St John rather than in his St Helier constituency.
Deputy Ryan won 396 votes in a 56% turn-out.
