Sweeney picks up overall bronze

REGENT Gym Club’s Charlotte Sweeney had a great end to the competition year last weekend winning a medal in Berkshire.

The 12-year-old claimed the overall bronze and trophy at the Southern Region Out of Age Floor & Vault competition held at Phoenix GC. She performed well on floor with some strong tumbling to finish with a score of 10.80 which placed her with the third highest score.

Eight Regent members competed in the various levels against 53 gymnasts from around the south of England.

In the same level three group, Regent’s Lisa Day and Lizzy Appleyard placed joint sixth and opponents from Arabian, Chamberlayne, Waterside and AGA.
