Hunt for missing man
Saturday 6th December 2008, 9:59AM GMT.
A MISSING persons investigation has been launched after a jetski belonging to a man who vanished from his UK home was mysteriously found washed up in Jersey.
The severely damaged blue Yamaha FX cruiser was found in Bouley Bay on Monday – three days after 45-year-old family man Michael Hudson disappeared from his home in Redditch, Worcestershire.
Police today said that they do not know how the machine got to Jersey or whether Mr Hudson had landed the jetski or suffered an accident at sea.
States police are now working with West Mercia Police to establish Mr Hudson’s whereabouts. Acting Detective Inspector Steve Langford said: ‘It is a bit of a mystery at this stage. ‘We simply don’t know how the jetski arrived in Jersey or whether Mr Hudson is in the Island or elsewhere.’
