Organised by Peter Crenan, of the Jersey Junior Golf Foundation, the official was delighted with the Master class programme session that was undertaken by youngsters Steven Anderson, Dan Scriven, Matt Duncan, Ross Davis, Steven Goguelin and Adam Trotter.

Crenan said: ‘It was a great experience for the boys, Tommy is a great believer in showing how shots should be played and as well as doing that he explains things simply and that is good for the boys and helps them out.

‘Trevor Gray and his fellow directors have done an excellent job with the three par-3 Academy holes at the course; they are brilliant and perfect for youngsters to practise on. Tommy remains very keen to help Jersey’s youngsters with their games and he will be doing it again next month but with eight different lads next time which means more youngsters will benefit from his experience.’
