Attic gives Paul high hopes

A NEW online business offering a selection of novelty and nostalgic items has launched in time for Christmas.
Set up by local entrepreneur Paul Kearsey, Gwennie’s Attic is a collection of goods intended to tap into peoples childhood memories. Mr Kearsey (44) was inspired to create www.gwenniesattic.co.uk after clearing out his late aunt Gwen’s house. He came across old toys and photographs and wanted to give others the opportunity to uncover treasures from their own childhoods.
The site consists of everything from old records, comics and annuals to up-to-date novelty items starting from as little as £1.75. ‘It’s an exciting collection of current, past and retro ideas that make wonderful presents or revive childhood memories,’ said Mr Kearsey.
‘I wanted to see whether those items that gave so much pleasure yesterday, were still viable in today’s market for those with a young heart or who are just young at heart and can still find enjoyment in simpler toys and interesting curiosities, where imagination and fun are paramount.’
