Granite Le Pelley was awarded a commendation at the Stone Federation of Great Britain’s Natural Stone Awards held at Lord’s Cricket Ground last month for restoring Guernsey’s Royal Court building.

It is the second time that the Channel Island company has won a Stone Federation of Great Britain award. The Golden Jubilee Needle obelisk on the Albert Pier that was made to commemorate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee was commended at the 2006 awards.

The competition recognises projects that exhibit exemplary design and execution of stonework.
Granite Le Pelley managing director Phil Le Roy said: ‘We’re really delighted to have received a second commendation from the Stone Federation of Great Britain, which has now recognised the quality of our work in both Jersey and Guernsey.’
