Another blaze at Broadlands
Thursday 8th January 2009, 8:19PM GMT.
ANOTHER fire broke out last night at the site of the former Broadlands Guest House in St Peter.
The Fire Service were called to the premises on Mont Fallu at around 6.15 pm and spent several hours at what is now a scrap yard. A digger and a stack of wood were alight as 17 firefighters tackled the blaze.
Noone is living on the premises, but some employees are believed to have returned to the site last night to view the damage.
It is just six months since a huge fire devastated the premises and left dozens of people homeless. They have since been found alternative accommodation – a special fund was also set up in support.
