National volleyball test

JERSEY’S women volleyball players face a tough obstacle this weekend in their bid to reach the next stage of the National Shield competition.

The HLB Jackson Fox squad meet National Division I side Polonia in North London tomorrow. Polonia are known to be a strong and difficult team to beat, however the side has been inconsistent in its results this season and Jersey’s ladies believe they are capable of causing an upset.

Jersey’s men’s squad also face a tough match this weekend in their National Cup campaign, as they play Wessex in Poole today. However, they are also hopeful of victory, and a win would give the HLB Jackson Fox team a home fixture in the next round.

Wessex are a National Division II team, but they are currently lying bottom of the league.
