Remove these tattered flags

LAST Easter I visited your lovely Island and while travelling I passed Liberation Square. I was disturbed to see the Island flag and Union Jack represented by two filthy frayed flags.

I thought that as the tourist season was just about to start they would soon be replaced by flags to be proud of. Instead, when I visited the square last week the two offending flags were still fluttering in the breeze.

Do you think the Nazis would have let the swastika flag be shown in such a state? If money cannot be found then I suggest the flag poles remain empty.
