New chief at Channel TV

CHANNEL Television has appointed Rowan O’Sullivan as its new chief executive.
Mr O’Sullivan, who takes up his new post immediately, was previously managing director of the company’s London-based Enterprise division, which is responsible for their broadcast-compliance business. In his new role he will divide his time between working in London and the Channel Islands.
Channel Television, which is part of Iliffe News and Media, owned by Yattendon Investment Trust, has not had a chief executive since 2006, when Huw Davies retired from the role.
Executive chairman Mick Desmond said: ‘We are delighted that Rowan has been appointed chief executive. The next 12 months will be crucial for Channel, as Ofcom completes its review of public-service broadcasting and ITV adapts to a changing broadcast environment.’
