They should lose at least a day’s wages
Saturday 17th January 2009, 9:59AM GMT.
From Dr Tom Houghton.
CONCERNING the bus strike which we had on Thursday, and which I believe was unofficial, if this is indeed the case then I strongly feel that the men involved should at least lose a day’s wages.
Apart from the aggravation for the general public, many people going to the Airport, who cannot afford taxis or prefer to use the bus, could possibly have missed flights. But I shouldn’t think the bus men concerned would think about small things like that.
If this is a strike which was not legal, then some definite action should be instigated.

I certainly hope they do not expect to be paid for the inconvenience they caused to the public many of whom are disabled and unable to drive a car or walk long distances.

Bang on. They should not be paid especially as their action caused so much inconvenience
