Doctor not guilty of manslaughter

THE DOCTOR charged with the manslaughter of a staff nurse has been found not guilty.
Dolores Moyano Ontiveros was charged with causing the death of staff nurse Elizabeth Rourke during a routine operation on 17 October 2006.
The Assize jury of nine men and three women spent four hours considering their verdict after retiring from the Royal Court at 1 pm today.
Commissioner Richard Tucker thanked them for their efforts during what he described as a ‘long and difficult trial’.
