Tri-nations memorial at Springfield

JERSEY under-18s kick off the three-nation football tournament against the Republic of Ireland at Springfield on Monday evening.
The Republic and Northern Ireland Schools’ Football Association’s sides are both in the Island for several days next week as part of their preparations for the forthcoming annual Centenary Shield tournament.
The two visiting team face each other at Springfield on Tuesday evening with Jersey playing Northern Ireland on Wednesday at the same venue.
Jersey U18 manager Dave Walsh said: ‘My staff and the players are looking forward to the tournament and we are hoping for a much improved performance than last time out when we were beaten by Kent.
