JERSEY biker Nick Allison has once again finished as top British points scorer at the International Pacific Trophy in Australia.
In eight races Allison recorded three top ten finishes to help the UK motorcycle squad to an overall second place, pipped to the top spot by the host nation. Yet he admits the bike proved more problematic than he had hoped.
He said: ‘I was actually a bit disappointed for myself – even though I finished as top UK points scorer I was expecting to do a bit better overall.’
Allison, sponsored by X-Mile Fuel, rode an ex-factory 1260 cc Moriwaki Kawasaki owned by Yorkshire collector and racer Graham Salter. The International Pacific Trophy is the third biggest meeting at the Phillip Island circuit, after MotoGP and World Superbikes.
