Dandara to build on two new sites
Tuesday 3rd February 2009, 2:55PM GMT.
DEVELOPERS Dandara are in the process of buying two new sites in Jersey and are about to start building work on the former Rex Hotel.
In the UK, Dandara has halted all development and stopped buying new sites about 18 months ago, but in Jersey they are still expanding their portfolio.
Dandara managing director Martin Clancy said that they have made ‘natural redundancies’ due to jobs finishing but no current projects have been cancelled or put on hold in Jersey.
He said: ‘We are looking forward more cautiously than we would have done a few years ago. However, we have made £100 million pounds worth of sales at Castle Quay and we are recruiting for that.’
