0615896_cropped.jpgJERSEY Finance have got a new look, and have changed they way they will be known.

Previously, their logo included the phrase ‘representing the international finance centre’. This has now been replaced with ‘voice of the international finance centre’.

Head of marketing Dara Lutes said that the move was about making it clearer what Jersey Finance’s role was.
‘The main reason behind the change was that we did research towards the end of last year and found that there was a bit of confusion as to what we do,’ she said. ‘People thought that we were the regulator.’

As part of their new look, Jersey Finance have also radically changed their website and will be using a number of specially commissioned images as part of their branding campaign. This was launched recently with the unveiling of an image of a tree.

Oh well that makes it a lot clearer. Good job a hell of a lot of money hasn’t been wasted on that then.

I bet that cost a few quid.
Maybe one of the States members could try asking how much?

Spending our money again – why was this needed?

Jersey wastes far too much money on civil servants – this is an island of only 40 square miles – why do we have so many?

In fairness to Jersey Finance, I know somebody who used to work there and they were VERY regularly confused with the JFSC. However, it firstly begs the question, why was it called Jersey Finance in the first place, as it’s such a vague name, and secondly, if they’re changing their logo, then why not something clear like “Marketing Jersey’s Finance Industry Around The World”?

Presumably JFSC “sneaked in” the costs before
The States began their review of expenditure !

Ah well…in any event, does anyone really believe
that our States will reduce public expenditure ?
I don’t believe they live in the same world as
we lesser mortals who actually fund them !
