Rugby: Harvey confident

colour-0594580_cropped.jpgRUGBY Club head coach Ben Harvey is full of confidence ahead of Jersey’s game againt London Division 1 leaders Shelford, tomorrow.

Suggest to him that Jersey might lose to the most free-flowing side in the league with 390 points for (195 against), and the air turns frosty.

No, he insists. Shelford are there for the taking. And if Jersey win tomorrow’s away game followed by a win next week against 2nd placed Barnes and he believes that they will be right back there in the hunt for promotion.

‘They had a great start to the season and they’ve done well to hang on so long but I feel they’ve started to lose momentum,’ he said.

‘Tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day. But with the side we’re putting out, if there is to be a Valentine’s Massacre, it won’t be us.’
