Flying Brands head resigns
Monday 23rd February 2009, 3:00PM GMT.
THE chief executive of St Lawrence home shopping firm Flying Brands has resigned, eight months into the appointment.
Tricia Killen (pictured) placed with immediate effect by Stephen Cook, who joined the board in January 2008 as a non-executive director. At that time Mr Cook had ‘recently been working’ with West Coast Capital, the company headed by Scottish entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter which has a 30% stakehold in Flying Brands.
Mr Cook (48) is a former group strategy director and general counsel at Telewest Communications plc and more recently has acted as a consultant on multi-channel retailing.
The appointment has fuelled speculation that the Jersey company could be the subject of a takeover bid in the near future.
